Another resolution

Last night, after a lovely dinner out for New Year's, Rick and I had a talk about our schedules - which was mainly about how we need to make more time for each other. By the time we both arrive home from work or workouts or family obligations or puppy walking, we're both tired and are focused on getting ready for the next day. One thing that Rick said to me that really stung (but was true - which is probably why it stung) was that I spend too much time looking at my phone. He is right. Sometimes, I'm doing legitimate things like checking the weather (I am somewhat obsessed with finding out who is getting snow) or responding to an email, but more often than not, I am on Facebook. That cursed Facebook! It can be useful (about 10% of the time) for checking in with friends about fun things like bike rides, but the rest of the time, it's really just a time sucker for me. I need to rearrange my life so that I'm talking face-to-face with people, rather than carrying on a virtual friendship on social media. So, in honor of happiness and mental health, I am going to cut WAY back on my Facebook time. I am going to use it to check on weekend workouts - but only when really necessary. The cutback starts....now!
